Sometimes we forget where good music comes from. Toby Keith reminds us all that songwriting comes from the heart, and it is truly a gift to cherish.
In this near perfect acceptance speech from Keith’s 2015 induction to the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, he took the time to reflect back on his successful career that has taken him from a struggling artist to one of the biggest names in country music. Keith even shows a sensitive side that we seldom get to see, when he discusses his upbringing as one of the reasons he is where he is today. So sweet!
Keith has written so many songs over the years, its almost hard to keep track! Just to name a few fan favorites, “Beer for My Horses”, “Should Have Been A Cowboy”, “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This”, “As Good As I Once Was”, and of course “Courtesy of the Red, White, And Blue (Angry American”. Along with many more hits.
We are so happy for Toby, and wish him all the success in the world. Looking forward to more music from the country music legend!
