Famous fiddler, Charlie Daniels likes to climb onto his soapbox, AKA his personal blog, to express his opinions when it comes to the state of the union. If you've been keeping up-to-date with his open letters, then you'll know just how unhappy he is with how the U.S. is being run currently.
In the open letter, Charlie states that he is "a proud American who believes that America has held - and still holds - a very sensitive and special place in the affairs of mankind on Planet Earth." He goes on to explain how he loves this country and everything it has overcome since its birth, including the Revolutionary War, Civil War, D-Day, and so much more that has proved the U.S. has many courageous souls.
Even so, a lot has changed since those days and Charlie just called them out.
"The courageous politicians that once championed this nation have been replaced, for the most part, by a breed of milksop, politically correct, scared of their own shadow, pushover, pathetic excuses for public servants who are supposed to be representing a constituency of citizens who have to live with the circumstances of their timid folly."
Charlie talks about just how unhappy he is that Congress doesn't have the courage to face a president that is "out of control". He doesn't like the way Israel is being treated or the creation of the Iran nuclear deal, and he very open about how much he disagrees with the current state of immigration.
"You're no longer men, you're puppets, you're caricatures, jokes, a gaggle of fading prostitutes for sale to anybody who can do you a political favor," he writes.
He ends the letter asking for people to pray for our troops and peace in Jerusalem.
