Although they are primarily branded as a country group, Grand Ole Opry members Montgomery Gentry sometimes lean towards a Southern rock sound. So when it came time for the duo to appear on the CMT Crossroads series in 2004, it only made perfect sense to pair them with Skynyrd. 

Montgomery Gentry and Skynyrd performed a wide range of both of their hits, but it was their version of Skynyrd's "Gimme Back My Bullets" that stole the show. Eddie Montgomery, Troy Gentry, and Johnny each took turns singing lead, giving them all the chance to showcase their extraordinary talents.

It's no wonder why many country fans consider Montgomery Gentry and Skynyrd's Crossroads episode to be one of the best of all time!
