The Grand Ole Opry has been home to countless spectacular performances since it's first broadcast in 1925.

The Opry likes to play homage to the legendary country singers that have paved the way for newer country artists. These newer artists always jump at the chance to cover their idols. To be invited to perform on the Opry stage is an honor in itself, but being asked to pay tribute to an idol, is a tall task.

Several country singers were up for it and did so wonderfully! It's hard to put the cover performance from all the performances at The Grand Ole Opry in worst to best order because they are all so great! Luckily for us, The Opry put together a mashup video of the 8 best cover performances!

Below are the full performances, followed by the mashup!

1. Scotty McCreery performing Conway Twitty's "Hello Darlin'"

2. Carrie Underwood singing Loretta Lynn's toe-tapping tune, "You're Looking At Country"

3. Alan Jackson paying tribute to his idol, George Jones, with "He Stopped Loving Her Today

4. Tammy Wynette's "Stand by Your Man" sung by Kellie Pickler

5. Rhiannon Giddens singing Patsy Cline's "She's Got You"

6. Lee Ann Womack paying tribute to Loretta Lynn with "I Know How"

7. Loretta Lynn's "Fist City" Sung by the feisty girl group Pistol Annies

8. Jennifer Nettles and Carrie Underwood singing "9 to 5", originally made famous by Dolly Parton

Watch the mashup video below and tell us what you think! Did they leave any of your favorite cover performances out?
