The effect Conway Twitty has had on country music is everlasting.
During his 20 year career, Twitty topped the charts 40 times and left a legacy that will never be forgotten.
Since his untimely passing in 1993, many artists have showed their appreciation for his music and all he has done for the music industry by singing touching tributes to the iconic artist.
In 1994, during The Roots of Country television show, Sam Moore and Steve Wariner dazzled the audience with a stunning tribute to Twitty. The two sang a jaw-dropping duet of "It's Only Make Believe", one of Twitty's signature songs.
"It's Only Make Believe" was co-written by Twitty and released in 1958 from his album, Sings. The song was a huge hit, and was Twitty's first and only single to top the charts in the US, UK and Canada. Wow!
