Steve Irwin would be proud.
Everyone’s favorite crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin, left us too soon. Since his untimely passing in 2006, his daughter, Bindi, has been working hard to live up to his legacy, and she does a darn good job.

She has continued her father’s conservation and television work educating people about wildlife and even donates 10% of her pay to the charity Wildlife Warriors.
This week, she ditched her khakis for glitter costumes (literally) as she began competing in the 21st season of Dancing With The Stars. She is paired with five-time champion Derek Hough, who couldn’t be more excited with his new partnership.
“Bindi just fills the room with this amazing energy, it’s contagious,” he says in their package. “Having a tragic experience when she was younger, losing her father, she’s kind of turned it into a positive thing.“
Being just 17, Bindi says she is doing Dancing With The Stars for her father.
“My mum always said that anytime Dad would watch me dance around the zoo, that he would cry. I think that the real reason I’m doing this is to make him proud.”
Bindi’s debut, which was a jive to none other than “Crocodile Rock“, was high energy, entertaining, and she definitely stole the show! Judge Bruno Tonioli called her the “Wonder from Down Under“.
Bindi and Derek received a score of 24 out of 30, which tied for highest of the night.
We are sure Steve is looking down on his little girl, and is very proud of her.
