Duck Dynasty's matriarch, Miss Kay's dream is coming true!
According to the News Star, Kay Robertson will be opening her own bakery with the help of her eldest son, Alan.
Fans of the reality show can finally get to try her delicious cooking! Rejoice!
The bakery will be in their hometown, West Monroe, Louisiana, right next to Willie's Duck Diner, which has been featured on a few episodes of Duck Dynasty.
Miss Kay's Sweets and Eats will feature desserts like coconut cream pies, puddings, chocolate, and Phil's famous pralines, just to name a few!
The Robertson's like to keep everything family-oriented, so it's no surprise that one of Kay's grandchildren will be stepping in as the head baker! Alan's daughter Alex, a pastry chef who graduated from the Louisiana Culinary Institute, is ready for the challenge!
Alan tells News Star the reasoning behind the new bakery.
"Mom always wanted her own place, and we’re excited about being able to share her amazing recipes with our community and the rest of the world. This is perfect because it’s adjacent to Willie’s restaurant. We may even connect the two buildings.”
While Miss Kay will not be around for day to day operations, she is heavily involved in choosing what will be offered at the bakery and making sure that everything they make in bulk will not love the flavor of the original.
What Miss Kay is most excited about, is making special appearances to cook for her fans and customers. "I'm so excited about that," she says. "I've always wanted to teach people how to cook."
An insider says,"The Robertsons hope to open the bakery by December to take advantage of the Christmas season. Miss Kay's Sweets and Eats has already been the subject of a new 'Duck Dynasty' episode that will premier sometime this fall on A&E."
From the looks of her cooking, we already know Miss Kay's Sweets And Eats will be a huge success! And that makes Miss Kay "Happy happy happy"!
