Luke Bryan Channels His Inner Rapper With ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Theme

Luke Bryan and Lee Brice may not be the “fresh princes” of Bel-Air, but that didn’t stop them from trying their hands at a little rap music.

During a concert on October 26, 2014 at The Forum in Inglewood, California, Bryan and Brice performed rapper Tupac Shakur’s “California Love” and the theme song to the hit show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

California Love” is probably Shakur’s most well-known song, and it peaked at the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 list for two weeks.

The theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was performed by Will Smith, the star of the show, and is arguably one of the most recognizable TV theme songs in history. A full-length version of the song was released on Smith’s Greatest Hits album in 2002.

In choosing these songs to perform, Bryan and Brice show that they know their audience, since both songs mention California.

The crowd reacts well to their performance, singing and rapping along with the two of them.

Part way through rapping the theme song to Fresh Prince, Bryan pauses and says to the crowd “I told you anything could happen tonight!
