The Duck Dynasty cast knows the importance of community and they work hard to improve the lives of those around them.
For one little boy, Willie and Si Robertson brought more happiness than they could have ever imagined. The Robertson men made a huge impact on the boy’s life, and for at least one afternoon, made him forget about the horrible tragedy that recently struck his family.
In August 2015, the unthinkable happened to the Vincent family. After 13 years of service for the Louisiana State Police department, Steven Vincent was killed during a routine traffic stop.
Steven left behind a wife and a nine-year-old son, Ethan.
When the Robertson family got wind of this story, they were quick to reach out and do what they could for the family.
Willie and Si planned a special afternoon for the little boy, who according to The News Star, admitted that since the passing of his father, “It’s been hard. Real Hard.“
Willie and Si took the boy on a tour of Duck Commander, and after they showed him around, Ethan got to spend time with his favorite Robertson, Uncle Si! He said, “I like (Uncle) Si because he’s funny and he drinks tea like me.”
Si and Ethan then built a duck call together, although Ethan joked around with Willie telling him that he had done most of it himself, with little help from Si! The News Star reported that Willie then told Ethan, “I need to hire you because I can’t get anybody else to do it.“
Ethan then told the men that he likes watching Duck Dynasty “because I like to hunt and fish and they all seem like they’re having a good time.” Too cute!
We’re so happy that Willie and Si were able to brighten this little boy’s day.
Rest in peace, Steven Vincent, you will always be remembered.
