This has been a tough week for Montgomery Gentry’s Eddie Montgomery.
Earlier this week, the band announced on the Facebook page that Eddie’s 19-year-old son, Hunter passed away. Country music artists across the country have been Tweeting and Facebooking their condolences to the Montgomery family.
This morning, the band took to their Facebook again. This time to thanks their fans.
“I would like to sincerely thank the thousands of people that have overwhelmed us with an outpouring of support and love following the death of my son, Hunter. My family sincerely thanks everyone for our continued privacy as we grieve.”
The post also stated that, “In lieu of flowers, Eddie and Jennifer Montgomery along with the Montgomery family have set up a fund for Hunter’s son, Bennett Reece Montgomery, at Helping Hands Ministries.“
