Despite all of the sadness surrounding them, Joey+Rory have found one source of light in the darkness.
After Joey and Rory Feek announced their saddening decision to end Joey’s cancer treatments on Friday, October 23, 2015, the couple said they were going home, “Not to die. But to live.”
The main reason the couple decided to return home was to spend as much time with their baby girl, Indiana, as possible.
On November 2, the couple shared a picture of their sweet little girl on their Facebook page, captioning it, “…God has provided us beautiful joy in the midst of great sadness.” The picture shows Indiana sitting in a swing, laughing as the sun shines down on her.
Since making the decision to return home, Joey has been spending a lot of time with her baby girl, as well as her parents and three sisters.
Rory took to his blog to thank fans for all of their support during this tough time, and shared his prayer request for Joey:
“But please, one thing I ask… don’t just pray that Joey is healed. Yes, pray for a miracle. But also pray for peace in her heart, and ours, if God chooses not to let this cup pass from her sweet lips.”
With so much sadness surrounding them, we are so glad that Joey+Rory can find peace in the smile of their little girl.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Joey+Rory and their family during this challenging time.
