Joey + Rory's story is one that can't be unwritten, but it is one that will be remembered.
Just months after their daughter Indiana was born, Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Earlier this year, the cancer returned and after a round of unsuccessful radiation and chemotherapy treatments, the country music duo announced they were stopping treatment and her cancer is terminal. Joey has been surrounded by family and close friends ever since.
Somehow, through all of this, they manage to stay positive and their strength shines through. In his blog, Rory keeps fans updated on Joey's health and their healing process.
In his latest blog post, titled 'One More', Rory shows all the pictures that Joey looks at everyday, and the latest addition to their family, Joey's walker.
While she has lost her hair, Joey hasn't lost her sense of humor. When she first saw her walker, she laughed and said, "I can’t use that…it’s for old people!" She had Indiana sit on the walker and Joey took her around the house, which made everyone watching smile ear-to-ear.

After helping her back into her hospital bed at their home, Rory watched her sleep and thought about one of his closest friends, Tim Johnson.
Tim was a songwriter, like Rory, who found out he had advanced cancer, like Joey. He passed away in 2012, but not before sharing his story.
"Tim's story has become our story and his words are now our words," Rory writes. "We all want one more, don’t we? One more day… one more year… one more chance to be the person we know we should be… one more ride for our child around the house in her mama’s walker…"
As he writes this, he expresses how looking back on Tim's story is helping him get through this time. He hopes one day, someone will look back at Joey's story and that will help them get through something similar.
