Arkansan Barrett Baber is a favorite to win Season 9 of NBC’s The Voice. And, Monday night, the Team Blake member reminded us why. Baber, a high school teacher, accompanied himself with a guitar as he delivered a sultry performance of Conway Twitty’s classic tune ‘I’d Love To Lay You Down.’ Coach Blake Shelton called it Baber’s best performance to date saying he’s never heard the singer sound better.
As if to prove Blake right, within minutes of Baber’s performance, his song was in the iTunes Top 10.
After Monday’s broadcast, Baber showed his respect for fellow Arkansan, Conway Twitty.
Nothing like singing a song by an #Arkansas legend like #ConwayTwitty! #WPS Here’s the link! https://t.co/YMJJyp8OLN pic.twitter.com/JonN1iKkQ4
