Even though Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge couldn’t make it to the CMA Country Christmas special, they took the time out of their busy touring schedule to give a special Christmas gift to an equally special fan.

14-year-old Kenzie has been through a lot over the course of her life. At age eight, Kenzie was diagnosed with Leukemia, and came to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for treatment.

Now, Kenzie is cancer free, and participates on a competitive cheerleading squad. In addition, she happens to be a huge fan of both Rhett and Eldredge.

Once they heard Kenzie’s story, Rhett and Eldredge invited her to come meet them so they could learn more about her. After asking Kenzie a few questions about herself, Rhett and Eldredge performed “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” especially for her.

Rhett and Eldredge’s performance was incredibly intimate, as the two singers simply remained seated on their stools and sang the song.

Kenzie never stopped smiling during the performance and we can’t blame her!

You can watch Rhett and Eldredge’s special performance of “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” below.
