Rory Feek / This Life I Live
Joey Feek is feeling great, according to her husband, Rory. In a new blog post, Rory shared that they’ve been able to keep Joey’s pain under control and that she’s in good spirits. She’s doing so well, in fact, that the family moved Joey from her childhood home in Indiana to bigger house nearby, thanks to someone in the community who wanted to help out.
“Indy and I had been living out of a suitcase and needed a little more room and this place has a big picture window in the bedroom so Joey can look out and see white geese and black swans swimming in the pond and deer walking down the path. It’s amazing.”
On the first morning in their new house, Rory took a photo of his wife in her hospital bed, with a memory quilt draped across her lap, eating her breakfast as she gazed out the picture window in her room.
“Joey woke up excited about the view and put her make-up and wig on and just kept staring out the window as she ate her breakfast,” Rory said of the photo. “She looked so beautiful.”
Heidi and Hopie, the couple’s oldest daughters, have joined them at their new home. Rory confessed that while the family misses their friends and family in Tennessee, they are enjoying the time they’ve been able to spend with Joey’s family in Indiana.
