While taking break from the ninth season of The Voice, all four current coaches talk about the future of the hit singing competition...
The original Voice season featured Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton, but as the seasons have progressed various coaches have come and gone. Gwen Stefani was first featured as a coach during season seven, but then replaced by Aguilera for season eight; happily returning for the current season.
During a recent interview, the four-some of current coaches Levine, Shelton, Stefani, and Pharrell Williams discuss the show's future. A bleak-looking one in Shelton's eyes if Stefani leaves.
Although their relationship is fairly new, Stefani and Shelton appear to have had an instant chemistry in front of cameras.
"I don't want Gwen to not be on the show," the country crooner protested. "Why can't we have a fifth coach?"
But, while Shelton and the gang will all miss the No Doubt lead singer, she says she'll be returning focus to her career as a songstress.
"What am I gonna do? I'm gonna put out my record and do some shows," she announced.
The remaining coaches will have their longtime-friend Christina Aguilera returning for season ten, and it's clear that Stefani will miss her role on the show. Previously she's stated that she's "having a lot of fun" with her role on the show and she would gladly accept an offer to come back!
