Sadie Robertson has always been proud to show her support for our nation's military, something she proved even further at this year's USO Armed Forces Gala.
Sadie was invited to the 54th Annual USO Armed Forces Gala in New York to present an award to her business partner, Sherri Hill. Wearing a gown from the Sherri Hill line of dresses, Sadie gave the award to Sherri for all she has done for the USO, and for donating over 8 million dollars worth of prom dresses to military families over the years.

While at the gala, Sadie also had the chance to meet many of our country's military heroes, including Medal of Honor recipient Kyle Carpenter.
Kyle entered into the Marine Corps delayed entry program in 2009 at the age of 19. After completing his training, he was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
While fighting off a Taliban attack in a small village in 2010, Kyle is credited with shielding a fellow Marine from a grenade blast. As a result, both Marines survived, but suffered major injuries. Kyle's face and arm were severely injured, and he ended up losing his right eye.
In 2014, Kyle received the Medal of Honor, which is the country's highest military honor, and is given to those who go above and beyond the normal call of duty to perform personal acts of valor. At age 26, Kyle is currently the youngest living Medal of Honor recipient.
Sadie had the chance to meet Kyle during the gala, sharing a picture of the two of them together. In her caption, Sadie said she was beyond honored to meet Kyle and the other heroes at the gala.
