Country star David Nail and his wife Catherine have received the ultimate Christmas gift. Twins! The couple welcomed their first children, a son and a daughter, at a Nashville area hospital this morning (Dec. 12).
Lawson Brent Nail was born at 7:44 a.m. weighing 6 lbs. 2 ounces, and Lillian Catherine Nail was born one minute later weighting 5 lbs. 14 ounces.
In a statement made exclusively to E!, the couple shared their excitement about their babies’ birth.
"No words can describe the feeling. Beyond worth the wait. We are crazy in love with them both."
Nail and his wife have been married since 2009 and revealed the pregnancy during the CMA Awards last month. He posted a red carpet photo to Instagram and stated, "We are beyond excited to finally be sharing this news with you all. We are extremely blessed and I am so thankful for my 'Fighter.'"
During a red carpet interview prior to the CMA Awards, Nail said, "She's carrying around two of my children right now,” and added that they would be a boy and a girl.
"They'll be our first children, so having two right off the bat is gonna be an experiment," he added. "Nut, hopefully, the good Lord blesses us with ability to care for them."
Congratulations to David and Catherine Nail!
