Joey Feek is a fighter. Just weeks after declaring that she was bedridden, Rory Feek announced that his wife defied the odds and got out of her hospice bed. Joey’s determination gave hope to her family, friends, and fans that she would beat her disease.
As Joey looks to the future and what it holds, specifically a new album release, her daughter’s birthday, and the Grammy Awards, her husband is looking forward to something more. One more long slow dance.
In a brief video posted to Facebook, Rory reflected on a 1940’s themed party the couple hosted in their barn last New Years Eve. “I dusted off my old uniform and my bride and I cut a rug to some big band music,” Rory shared. “Hoping for a long sweet slow dance this year.”
We pray that you get that dance, Rory…and many more.
We had a 1940’s themed New Years Eve last year in our barn. I dusted off my old uniform and my bride and I cut a rug to some big band music. Hoping for a long sweet slow dance this year.
