Craig Strickland Facebook
In the days since Backroad Anthem’s lead singer, Craig Strickland, went missing, the group and Craig’s wife, Helen, have taken to social media to share updates on the search and to ask their fans for prayers.
On Wednesday (Dec. 30), Helen shared a touching update that proves just how much the power of prayer means to Craig himself.
Craig and his friend, Chase Morland, went missing after their boat capsized during a hunting trip on Sunday (Dec. 27). Chase’s body was found, but there has been no sign of Craig. His dog, Sam, was found alive, sparking hope that Craig may be as well.
Helen has relied heavily on her faith to give her strength during the past few days. She took to Twitter to share a Bible verse that has helped bring her some comfort during this hard time.
“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” – Psalm 56:8 ❤️

Craig’s faith is of great importance to him as well, something that Helen shared in a touching update to her Instagram.
One of Craig’s family friends was unable to sleep because she couldn’t take her mind off of Craig. She got up and started cleaning out a closet, where she happened to come across a Bible that belonged to Craig. After that, the friend sat down with the Bible and looked through the verses that Craig had highlighted as the ones that truly spoke to him.
Helen shared a few photos of the Bible on her Instagram, captioning them in part, “No matter the outcome of this circumstance, the truth of God’s word can comfort and give strength to each of us.”
A few hours after Helen shared the photos of Craig’s Bible, she tweeted that the search for him had been called off for the night, but would resume the next day.
We continue to pray for Craig’s quick and safe return.
