It seems as though the whole country is in shock over Craig Strickland’s tragic death. The lead singer for country band, Backroad Anthem was a son, brother, husband, bandmate, and friend to many. Which is why members of the country music community are making sure that his spirit is remembered and never forgotten.
After Craig’s wife, Helen Strickland posted to her Twitter account in an effort to relay the news of Craig’s death, social media went into a frenzy.
Her tweet read: “#CraigStrickland was found today. He is safe with his Father in Heaven. Thank you Lord for leading us to him today. I will praise you, Amen.”
The country music community was quick to share their condolences via social media.

Many were touched by the love and happiness that Craig seemed to radiate daily. It is also important that we remember the life of his good friend, 22-year-old Chase Morland who also lost his life on the frigid Oklahoma lake. The memory of Craig will live on through his music.
Watch the video below to see Craig in his element, performing the music he loved with some of his closest friends and bandmates.
Rest in peace, Craig and Chase.
