Eight-year-old Dorian Murray has a rare form of cancer and his last wish is to be famous.
With the help of social media, his wish is coming true. The hashtag "#D-Strong" is being used to help bring awareness to his story and many people, even celebrities are catching wind.
Legendary country singer Kenny Rogers is one of those celebrities that has learned about Dorian's story.
He and his 11-year-old twin boys, Jordan and Justin, took to Facebook to show their support for Dorian.
"Hey Dorian! We just want to say that our whole family is praying for you!" Jordan said.
Kenny continued the thought saying, "You gotta be strong, buddy. If that many people care about you, there must be a reason."
Dorian was diagnosed with a rare form of Stage IV cancer three-and-a-half years ago and has been undergoing treatment ever since. The treatments were not technically unsuccessful, but a bad check-up in December forced the family to make the tough decision to stop cancer treatment at the beginning of January.
Dorian had one final wish. "I'm just thinking," he says. "Before I go to Heaven, to try to be famous as much as I can."
And boy, did the world deliver.
People are posting pictures from all over the world with posters and signs that say where they are from and using the D-Strong hashtag. China, Spain, Australia, Ethiopia, France, Japan, and Switzerland are just a few of the countries that have showed their support.
Kenny and his family encourage everyone to show their support for Dorian and his family. He is truly an amazing kid.
