Kris Kristofferson has one big heart!
Recently, Kristofferson performed three shows in Dublin, Ireland, at the Olympia Theatre. Kristofferson played at sold out shows both Monday and Tuesday, and last minute decided to add one more show for a great cause.
Kristofferson played for a cause very close to his heart: children.
In efforts to support Childline, a charity that is run by the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, Kristofferson donated all of the money made by the show to the charity.
The country icon donated $54,515 to the children’s service. ISPCC’s Childline a program that provides a 24/7 listening service for all children up to 18 years of age.
ISPCC reported that, “Kris is a long standing supporter of Childline and understands the importance and value of it’s work.”
This isn’t the first time Kristofferson has donated to the charity. In 2011, he donated all box office earnings of another Dublin show to the service.
The country superstar really has a huge heart!
