Blake Shelton Comments On Being Snubbed From ACM Awards | Country Music Videos

Monday morning (Feb. 1), the 2016 ACM Awards nominations were announced.

While Eric Church and Chris Stapleton lead the nominations, each with five, there is one name that is noticeably missing: Blake Shelton.

He previously won Male Vocalist of the Year in 2012 and has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year the past three years, not to mention hosting the awards show for the past few years.

He has not been nominated for any ACM awards this year and some fans are infuriated! Not Shelton, though. He sees it as room for improvement.

Oh well…. I just have to do better. Working on it now!” he tweeted.

The country singer has been working tirelessly on his much-anticipated new album. With a divorce and a new lady love in his life over the past year, the album is sure to be a memorable one!

One Twitter user, @Wonderlust1990, asked if not being nominated hit him in the heart. He said, “A little bit… But it also gives me a night off!!”

The nominations for Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Studio Recording Awards and Industry Awards have yet to be announced, so Shelton still has a chance to be nominated!
