Updates from Rory Feek about his wife's health have grown few and far between. As the world continues to pray for a miracle for Joey, Rory is soaking up every moment with the woman he calls "my beautiful bride."
Rory has faithfully kept fans updated ever since his wife's first cervical cancer diagnosis in July of 2014. Since Joey's second cancer diagnosis a year later, the husband-wife team has gained a huge online following of faithful fans that are drawn to Rory's openness and honesty about his wife's cancer battle.
In the most recent of blog posts by Rory, he shared that his wife's pain has greatly increased causing her pain medication to be quadrupled. He also shared that Joey's doctors didn't expect her to live past Thanksgiving, proof that prayer is stronger than medicine.
In a photo posted to Facebook this morning, Rory candidly shares that it's hard to watch Joey at this stage in her battle.
"Feeling broken-hearted and blessed all at the same time this morning... watching my beautiful bride pour a lifetime of love into a few minutes a day," the photo caption reads.
In early November, following the announcement that Joey+Rory were nominated for their first Grammy Award, Joey let it be known that she wanted to live to see the Grammys and her daughter's 2nd birthday, both of which will take place in mid-February. We continue to pray that Joey gets her wish.
The couple also has a new album being released this month. "Hymns That Are Important To Us" is a project that Joey wanted to do for a long time. She believed in it so strongly that she recorded the tracks in between cancer treatments last fall. You can pre-order your copy through Cracker Barrel by clicking here.
