With the premiere date of its tenth season fast approaching, The Voice is pulling out all the stops to make the upcoming season more exciting than ever.
Coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Pharrell Williams are set to return, along with Christina Aguilera, who will take Gwen Stefani‘s place this season.
Stefani is rumored to still have a role in the upcoming season however, with NBC president Bob Greenblatt saying she may return to the show as an advisor.
Each season, the coaches chose someone to serve as an advisor to their team members, who help them rehearse and offer advice. In addition to these advisors, each season also features a key advisor, who is a major artist brought in to help all of the contestants, regardless of which team they are on.
Some of the past key advisors have included superstars such as Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Chris Martin. On Wednesday (Feb. 3) news broke of the unexpected artist who was selected to be key advisor for the upcoming season.
The key advisor for Season 10 of The Voice is none other than…Miley Cyrus.
Cyrus was excited to announce her new role as key advisor, sharing a photo to Instagram of her next to Aguilera’s chair on The Voice set.

Now that Cyrus has been named as the key advisor for Season 10 of The Voice, we can’t wait to see who the other advisors will be!
