Exactly ten days after tickets went on sale, New York City's FarmBorough Festival has been canceled.
They announced the unfortunate news on their official Facebook page on Monday night (Feb. 8), but didn't offer an explanation.
"FarmBorough Festival will not return to Randall’s Island Park in June of 2016," they wrote. "All of us at FarmBorough Festival appreciate the support we have received, but conditions dictate that we redirect our energy at this time. We appreciate the opportunity you afforded us to present FarmBorough in New York City, and apologize for any inconvenience."
Marketed as "New York City's ONLY Country Music Festival", singers that were scheduled to perform were Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett, Kacey Musgraves and many more.
All purchases will be refunded, according to their website.
This was meant to be the festival's second year after last year's huge success. This is not the only East Coast festival to be cancelled. On January 28th, Big Barrel Country Music Festival in Dover, Delaware announced they would cancel the event.
