Those who are true fans of Elvis Presley have probably made the trip to Memphis, Tennessee at least once to visit his Graceland mansion and estate. With hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, Graceland is one of the most-visited private homes in America, and we’re sure many of Elvis’ fans have dreamed of staying the night at such a gorgeous and historic place.
Well now, every Elvis fan’s dream is about to come true. On December 17, 2015, Graceland announced that it will start taking reservations for guests to stay in the new Graceland Guest House.

The Graceland website states that the new Guest House is currently under construction, and is located right next to Elvis’ mansion. It is the largest addition to Graceland since it was opened to the public in 1982, and has been designed to reflect both the style of Elvis and Graceland itself.
Elvis’ ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, oversaw many of the designs and plans for the Guest House, saying Elvis would have loved a hotel on the property while he was alive.
“When Elvis had friends and family visit Graceland, he would have them stay at a hotel nearby,” said Priscilla. “He would have been thrilled to have had his own hotel where they could stay.“
Once completed, the Guest House will contain 450 rooms for guests, along with two full-service restaurants and a 464-seat theater.
“The Guest House will bring guests closer to Graceland than ever before and offer the same warmth and southern hospitality that Elvis was known and loved for,” said Joel Weinshanker, Managing Partner of Graceland LLC.
The Guest House’s grand opening is planned for October 27, 2016, with a major celebration involving Elvis’ friends, family, and other celebrities to follow that weekend. Some of the special guests that will be present for the grand opening include members of Elvis’ entourage, his movie co-stars, and some of his back-up singers.
Hopeful guests can now book rooms at the Guest House for its opening weekend, as well as the months of November and December by calling Graceland Reservations or going to the Graceland website.
