She said it!
The 46-year-old pop star was the first ever artist to film a live music video during a four minute commercial break during the Grammy Awards. Her live performance, sponsored by Target was pretty awesome, and fans were quick to see the “Blake” sign above the bar. So subtle!
Stefani talked about the experience on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and explained everything from the tumble she took on roller skates to the man behind the song.
As many suspected, the fall was rehearsed and it was a stunt double!
“Everybody thinks that was me, but there was a stunt double.” the singer told Kimmel,”We did that on purpose so people would go, ‘Oh, my God! It’s live and she fell.'”
Kimmel then went on to ask who that neon sign was for. What did it mean? Stefani tried to play it off cool, but finally admitted, after Kimmel asked, “Is the song about Blake Shelton?” She replied, “Yes, I will admit that the song is about that guy”.
So the guessing is over! Stefani’s “Make Me Like You” is about Shelton, and she is happy to have a creative outlet that allows her to sing about everything she’s going through!
