Joey + Rory Share First Video Of Their Baby Girl Speaking

The country duo known worldwide for their unforgettable performance on Can You Duet and their stunning hit, “Cheater, Cheater”, as well as their harrowing battle with cancer have witnessed a blessing that could brighten anyone’s day. 

Joey + Rory’s bouncing baby girl, Indiana, turned two-years-old on February 17th, 2016 – a day that terminally-ill Joey prayed and prayed to live long enough to see. God granted that prayer for the beloved wife and mother. 

Now, the two parents have been able to witness their happy ray of sunshine say their names for what’s reported to be the very first time!

The video, posted to social media by Rory Feek, shows the bundle of joy sitting in her car seat and repeating after her father! From his caption, it sounds as if this is her first time vocalizing words without using sign language! 

 “I took Indy to the grocery store this afternoon and by the time we got home she was saying sounds back to me without using sign language,” the country star wrote on Instagram. 

Indiana Feek was born with Down syndrome which is a genetic disorder that can affect the physical and intellectual growth of the child. Often, children do not learn to speak until much later than a child born without the condition. 

In this heartwarming and beautifully touching video, Rory shared a bright moment with his youngest daughter that he was able to share with his wife, Joey. In October, the couple announced that Joey had entered hospice care for her late-stage cervical and colon cancer. 

We are glad to see that this amazing moment in their child’s life could be shared with both loving parents and happy that their daughter is such a beacon of love and a reminder of life’s beauty!
