Country fans who were ready to kick the dust up in Talladega, Alabama have received some disappointing news.

Dega Jam, scheduled for July at the legendary Talladega Speedway was recently cancelled due to business reasons. Blake Shelton, Toby Keith, and Eric Church were set to headline the three-day event.

The Dega Jam website has been updated with information about ticket refunds, and an apology.

Their website states:

We regret to announce that despite the tremendous enthusiasm many have expressed about the Dega Jam festival, set for this 4th of July weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, the event has been cancelled.

We sincerely apologize to everyone impacted by this difficult decision—fans, artists, industry partners, corporate partners, and everyone at Talladega Superspeedway.

Ticket purchasers will automatically receive full refunds, including all service charges,
beginning Tuesday, February 23, 2016.

The July event would have been the first Dega Jam in history, with other big names scheduled to perform alongside the headliners. This is the third festival cancellation in 2016, following the cancellation of the Big Barrel Country Music Festival in January and FarmBorough in New York City.

Good thing there is always Stagecoach!  Watch Church’s music video for the 2014 hit, “Talladega” below.
