In the early 2000s, Moulin Rouge! was all the rage... especially the first single released from the movie's soundtrack, "Lady Marmalade."
In 2001, Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya, Missy Elliot and Pink joined forces to record a cover of the sassy song, originally recorded in 1975 by the girl group, Labelle.
The remake was a huge hit for the movie and the artists involved, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks.
So the question is, who would dare try to remake this classic!?
It's been 15 years since the release of the pop hit, and fans still go wild when the song comes on the speakers.
During an episode of Spike's Lip Sync Battle, a popular TV star gave it her all in a wild performance of "Lady Marmalade." Nashville's very own Hayden Panettiere channeled her inner Christina Aguilera, from head to toe (crimped blonde hair, flashy tiara and all!).
Panettiere made her entrance onto the stage by a swing that slowly lowered her towards the crowd. As she came down she sang the famous first line, "Hey sista, go sista, soul sista, flow sista."
The TV star continued lip syncing the song, getting the crowd more and more excited as she performed even the funniest of lines, including Missy Elliot's rap verse.
But the most exciting part of the performance came towards the end when, unknown to all, pop princess Christina Aguilera joined Panettiere on stage!
The Voice coach rocked the stage, singing her famous lines all while blowing away the entire audience... including the show's host, who pretended to faint at the sight of her!
This performance will bring you back to good ol' 2001, so check it out below.
