This country singer is full of surprises!

On the Feb. 21st episode of the popular TV show, The Simpsons, the family welcomed a very special guest star. A star with incredible vocal skills… and you’ll never believe who it was!

Sunday’s episode, “Gal of Constant Sorrow,” featured a homeless woman named Hettie, who regularly sang on the street for donations. Eventually, the woman befriended Bart and Lisa and as the two spent more time with the woman, they came to find out that she was actually an incredible folk singer!

The spoken voice of Hettie’s was done by SNL’s Kate McKinnon, but the musical vocals were a country singer with a signature sound. Once Hettie opens her mouth to sing, there’s no doubt that it’s Dixie Chick, Natalie Maines.

Let’s be honest, who could mistake that voice?!

In the video below, Hettie sings to the children and blows them away with her powerful message and chilling voice.

But, there is much more to Hettie than meets the eye. Watch the clip below to find out more, and of course to hear the stunning Natalie Maines!
