Saying that he wouldn't have believed anyone who said they would end up together, longtime 'Voice' coach and close friend of Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, revealed in a new interview with Howard Stern that he was shocked to learn they were together.
The pop singer and on-screen personality has been best buds with Shelton throughout their years-long run on The Voice, so it's surprising to many viewers that he didn't spot the romance happening while working alongside both Shelton and Stefani.
"If you had told me Gwen Stefani was going to be with Blake Shelton, I would have told you were out of your f**king mind," The singer spilled. "But it's so wrong, that it's right."
Stern remarked about the timing of Stefani and Shelton's relationship, noting that the pair had each just gotten out of long-term marriages shortly before they became an item, but Levine said that true matters of the heart don't often follow social norms.
"I don't think you can really control those types of matters of the heart," he commented. "I think they found each other at a really interesting time in their lives. I see it as a beautiful thing. Good for them. And I think that love is a good, wonderful thing."
