Alan Jackson Gets Sweetly Serenaded By Two Of Country Music’s Loveliest Gals

Country legend Alan Jackson has been ‘rocking the jukebox’ since the early 90s when he brought his southern boy charm and honky tonk sound to country music fans everywhere. Throughout his prestigious career, Jackson was nominated for and ultimately became the recipient of numerous career building awards, perhaps the most distinguished being the gift of an exhibit in the Country Music Hall Of Fame!

Well, back in 2014, Jackson was able to put another notable honor under his silver belt buckle when he was given the first ever Impact Award at the CMT Awards. However, every legend deserves a proper introduction, and Jackson got just that when these two country cuties took the stage with a vibrant rendition of Jackson’s well-known, love stricken hit, “Livin’ On Love”. 

With both of the awarding winning, country music artists on guitar, Lee Ann Womack and Kacey Musgraves give a humble and ovation worthy performance that brings an approving smirk on Jackson’s face from beginning to end. 

The tribute performance went down as one for the extensive book of CMT duets, allowing both Musgraves and Womack to go down with a bang in honor of the country music icon. 

“Thank y’all. I appreciate it. That song never sounded better, y’all,” Jackson told the performers. 

Upon the finale of the performance, Jackson is presented with his title by the all American Carrie Underwood, commencing the “Remember When” singer’s honorable first. 

Jackson goes on to thank CMT and, of course, his lovely wife Denise who has been his biggest fan and continuous cheerleader from day one!

The singer closes off his modest speech by saying, “It’s been a crazy ride that’s never ended. Thank y’all so much! I’ve been so blessed.” 

It’s moments like this that make us realize this genuine man is “livin’ on love” for the music and not the fame!
