Season 11 of America’s Got Talent is officially in the books. A new winner was crowned Wednesday night after one of the most competitive seasons in the show’s history.
12-year old crowd favorite Grace VanderWaal became the second youngest winner ever as she took home the 2016 America’s Got Talent crown. The talented singer, songwriter, and ukulele player sang her way into our hearts with her stunning original compositions, leaving judge Simon Cowell proclaiming that the tween was going to be the next Taylor Swift.
Grace was one of 10 finalists competing for the coveted title. Also in the top 10 were singer Brian Justin Crumm, juggler Viktor Kee, contortionist Sofie Dossi, mind readers The Clairvoyants, singer Sal Valentinetti, opera singer Laura Bretan, NFL star and magician Jon Dorenbos, and mime Tape Face.
For Grace’s finale performance she revisited her self-penned audition tune, “I Don’t Know My Name.” Watch her winning performance and her crowning moment below.
