"Our hobby is just hanging out together, you know?" he explained. "She's my best friend."
The country singer performed his most recent single, "Every Time I Hear That Song," off his 2016 album If I'm Honest at the 2017 CMT Music Awards. The 40-year-old singer joked he's surprised they let "an old guy" like him perform, admitting he's "just happy" to get a performance out of the night.
