Gwen Stefani's This Is What The Truth Feels Like Tour kicked off in Boston on Tuesday (July 12).
Her boyfriend, Blake Shelton, watched the show from backstage and documented his excitement on Twitter.
"Wow..This is an epic thing to see!!" he captioned the photo of Stefani performing for a packed house.
The high of opening night came to a screeching halt when gossip sites reported that she performed to an empty stadium.
According to Us Weekly, Perez Hilton reported that "promoters were handing out free tickets before the show to fill seats at Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts".
Shelton did not take this claim lightly. He took to Twitter to defend his girlfriend with several pictures of the packed audience.
Wow... I am a terrible photographer but this is an epic thing to see!!! pic.twitter.com/up6bQC5NqS— Blake Shelton (@blakeshelton) July 13, 2016
"That's right everybody," he wrote. "No matter how good your eye site [sic] is [Gwen Stefani's] show was 'empty' last night".
He responded to a fan's tweet showing the entire crowd saying, "Wish I could get that many THOUSANDS of people to come see me on a Tuesday night..."
Below is the photo he responded to.
As you can see, the place was anything but empty.
