Blake Shelton Tells Fellow ‘Voice’ Coaches That He ‘Possibly’ Has Kids

24-year old Lauren Diaz caught the attention of three ‘The Voice’ judges during Tuesday (September 20) night’s blind auditions. Diaz sang “If I Ain’t Got You,” an Alicia Keys hit, for her audition. While her audition and the subsequent engagement are newsworthy, it was a comment made by Blake Shelton as he tried to woo Diaz away from Alicia Keys that has everyone talking.  

During the post-performance banter between the judges as they each tried to persuade Diaz to join their team, Keys said that she felt some things were just meant to be. 

“There’s no denying this God-given talent that you have. And, I just know that you and me are meant to be together,” Keys told Diaz. “If you decide to choose anyone else I will say ‘Absolutely not’. I will go kicking and screaming.”

Coach Blake Shelton jokingly chimed in that it would make for good tv if she chose someone other than Alicia Keys. 

Keys continued, “There’s things that I believe are right. We both have sons…”

Miley Cyrus interrupted saying that she has dogs and cats….”Way more cats than you could ever have kids.”

Blake raised his hand and said, “I possibly do [have kids].” To which Alicia Keys responded, “That’s terrible, Blake. Terrible.”
