It was a memorable night in D.C. for more reason than one. Not only was it President Obama's final White House State Dinner, but Blake Shelton surprised VIP guests by joining his girlfriend and guest of honor, Gwen Stefani, on stage.
Shelton and Stefani mingled with the guests before performing for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama and their guests. The No Doubt singer and the country crooner performed their hit duet "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" for the dinner which was held in honor of Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and his wife Agnese Landini.
47-year old Stefani also performed some of her own hits including songs such as “Sweet Escape” before inviting Blake to join her on stage in front of the star-studded audience that included Vice President Joe Biden, Giorgio Armani, Rachael Ray, James Taylor and Frank Ocean.
Obama welcomed Stefani who later shared a photo of herself laughing with the President.
