Every field of music has its fair share of scandals, and country music isn’t any exception. In fact, some of the most buzzed-about scandals in the genre’s history took place years ago, during what many would coin as the “classic” or “traditional” years.

Some scandals emerged out of sources we’d consider to be fairly tame today, such as Reba McEntire‘s risque red dress, or Loretta Lynn‘s songs about divorce and birth control.

Other scandals were a bit more extreme. Take for example, the moment when Charlie Rich burned the ballot card that announced a certain someone as the winner of the 1975 CMA Award for Entertainer of the Year.

Since these scandalous moments dominated the press, we’re sure all you old-school country fans remember them well. Or do you? That’s what we’re about to test in this quiz!
