What a way to kick off a new year! Reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Carrie Underwood has a huge reason to celebrate. Underwood just claimed her 25th #1 single with her latest release, “Dirty Laundry,” making it the 4th consecutive song to top the charts from her Platinum-selling album, Storyteller.
Underwood responded to the news on Twitter saying, “Um…WHAT?!?! This is AMAZING! Thank you FANS and Country radio! #blessed”

It’s been more than a decade since Underwood took home the coveted title of American Idol, and her career hasn’t slowed down since. In addition to boasting 25 #1 singles, Underwood has sold more than 58 million records and is the only female to have been name ACM Entertainer of the Year twice.
Underwood is looking to add to her already impressive resume with another award during next month’s Grammys. She already has 7, but hopes to add another as she is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for her #1 hit “Church Bells.” It was announced over the weekend that Underwood will also be performing at the February awards show.
As for the rest of 2017, the busy mom doesn’t have any plans. In a recent red carpet interview, Underwood told Ryan Seacrest that she’s trying to figure out what’s next.
“I think I’m gonna enjoy a little time with my family, and then start writing and seeing what I’m ready to do. There’s no real plan.”
But, after a jam-packed 2016 that included more than 100 tour stops, the American Idol champ has plenty of catching up to do at home.
“There’s always stuff to do,” she said. “I feel like my house is a wreck, so I’ve got to get things in order. Every time we go home for short, 24- or 48-hour stints, I just drop stuff off and leave again. And now I’m just trying to make sense of life.”
