CMT Artists Of The Year Opens With Emotional ‘Rise Up’ Tribute To Victims Of Vegas Shooting

This year’s salute to the artists has been reworked to honor all of those who were tragically killed or injured during the Las Vegas shooting at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival – and with a huge number of big name artists, it’s a truly incredible event! 

Taking the stage for an opening tribute to the victims, country quartet Little Big Town and R&B songstress, Andra Day, performed an enchanting collaboration of Day’s beloved song, “Rise Up.” 

The platinum-selling single has been lauded worldwide for its message of resilience and strength in the face of obstacles and difficult circumstances. 

Together these incredibly talented artists pair their voices in an almost effortless fashion and unleash spine-tingling harmonies that fill the entire auditorium. Truly mesmerizing, this beautiful performance was the best way to open an event like this and left a feeling of inspiration with every single person watching.
