Country Singer And His Wife Are Expecting Their First Baby

Only a few months since they married in Carbondale, Illinois, Mo Pitney and his wife Emily announced they are expecting their first child! 

An Illinois country music station first shared about the couple’s exciting news by sharing photos on their website which were then shared to the country newcomers mother’s Facebook account. The couple pose in photos wearing overalls and holding a miniature set of overalls fit for a baby. 

While the official gender has not been revealed, the couple hold a sign that says “Boy or a Girl Thing?” as both a reference to the absent gender reveal as well as Pitney’s recent single (“Boy & A Girl Thing”) which was a Top 50 hit in 2015.

While Pitney’s strongly traditional country sound has yet to score him a major hit, he has developed a powerful core following amongst traditionalists within the country music genre. Pitney is set to release his debut album Behind This Guitar in October of this year which will feature 10 original songs as well as two covers.
