After announcing they’re expecting a tiny newcomer to their family, country singer Mo Pitney and his wife have finally announced the gender of their first born child.
Early last month on August 8, Pitney’s mother shared photos of her son Mo and his wife Emily – sporting her growing baby bump – wearing matching overalls and holding a tiny pair of overalls to announce that she would soon be a grandmother.
The pair teased at the gender using a line from Pitney’s folksy song “Boy & Girl Thing” with a sing that read “Boy or a girl thing?” Now over a month later, the happy couple is ready to reveal the gender of their first child.
Mo Pitney took to Facebook to reveal they’re expecting a baby girl posting two photos from the ultrasound with the caption “Hey boys! It’s a girl! This is little – Evelyne Nadine Pitney…We are revealing the name now because we wanted to introduce this living human being to the world as soon as possible…We already love her very much.”
Pitney and his wife Emily married in early March of this year after becoming engaged just a few months earlier in September 2015. The young couple met as teenagers at a bluegrass festival they were both performing at after which Pitney recalls running home to tell all his friends “I just saw the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen in my life…I found myself chasing her around.”
Can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two! You can watch Pitney’s single “Boy & A Girl Thing” off his debut album Behind This Guitar in the video below!
