Days after falling off the front of a stage while standing on top of some equipment, young country star, Granger Smith, says that he’s been “blessed”.
It all went down when Smith was performing at a concert in Sayreville, New Jersey on Friday, December 2nd.
One of the monitors perched at the very front of the stage gave way as Smith was standing on top of it singing “City Boy Love”. He flew from the stage straight down onto a metal barricade used to keep the crowd back from the stage.
While he did get up and continue singing, he suffered some alarming injuries from landing on top of the barricade and ended up being hospitalized shortly after.
Later that night, it was revealed that Smith’s terrifying fall into the metal barricade had broken two of his ribs and punctured one lung which had already collapsed!
Now, several days later, Smith posted on social media about his current status and expressed his deepest appreciation for the outpouring of support from fans all over the country.
“Update: Out of the hospital, back in TX & starting to regain movements. The outpouring of support has me feeling VERY blessed. Thank y’all!”
He posted the update with a photo showing him back at home in Texas, obviously looking better than what many expected following his diagnosis and hospitalization.

Smith’s concerts scheduled throughout the end of the year have been cancelled due to his injuries, but he has said he’s planning some way to make it up to fans.
We are glad to see that he’s feeling much better and that he’s back home where he can relax and take the time he needs to recover.
