Late last night (August 1), country singer Sherry Lynn's son, Harry Mecouch, was involved in a serious car accident and was quickly rushed to the hospital. After undergoing one surgery with more to come, the young boy is currently in critical condition.
Harry Mecouch, is from Sewell, New Jersey and studies mathematics at Rutgers University Camden College of Arts and Sciences.
The young boy's mother took to Facebook to beg for prayers for her son as he battles for his life, writing, "Alll [sic] of the prayer warriors on here I could really use all you've got today. My son was in a bad car accident & is in critical condition. He had one surgery in the middle of the night & they need to do another one tomorrow."
After news of the incident broke, country music icon Crystal Gayle asked for prayers to be sent her dear friend and her family's way in an emotional Facebook post, writing, "Our prayers and love are going out to Sherry Lynn, my friend and duet partner on "Beautiful Life." Sherry's son was seriously injured in a car accident last night. Please keep Sherry and her family in your prayers."
Gayle is featured on Lynn's track "Beautiful Life" off her 2013 album A Beautiful Life. Lynn has released three Top 40 country hits of her own and can be found sharing the stage alongside major acts including Loretta Lynn, Miranda Lambert, Chris Young, and many more.
Please join us in praying for the Lynn family during this difficult time.
