Country Star Allows Blind 7-Year Old Fan To ‘See’ Her During Emotional Meet & Greet

Lauren Alaina is one special lady. Not only is she super talented, but the American Idol alum is also one of the kindest souls in country music. 

During a recent meet-and-greet, Alaina met a very special fan – 7-year old AJ who is blind. In photos shared to Facebook by AJ’s mom, Heather Hillebrand, Lauren knelt down in front of AJ and placed his hands on her face so that he could “see” her. 

“She’s amazing. I didn’t even have to tell her he was blind. She already knew,” Hillebrand wrote, adding that the singer also gave AJ a kiss. “She knelt down in front of him and grabbed his hands and put them on her face not caring what her makeup looked like or nothing. She just grabbed him so he could put her hands all over her face and see her,” Hillebrand told the South Bend Tribune. 

The gesture brought everyone to tears, including Alaina. 

“She was like, ‘Do you feel my smiling? I’m smiling just for you?’ And then she was like, ‘Can I sign your heart?’ So she signed his shirt over his heart,” Hillebrand said.
