After ten years of putting on the wonderful event Miles & Music For Kids, this country singer has decided it’s time “to take a break”.
For the past ten years, Dierks Bentley has hosted a star-studded motorcycle ride and concert that benefits the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
According to Taste of Country, the concert line-up last year included Bentley, Cadillac Three, Canaan Smith, Cole Swindell, Thomas Rhett, and Florida Georgia Line.
Unfortunately, Bentley just announced via his Facebook page, that last year’s Miles & Music For Kids event would be the last.
“We’ve decided after 10 amazing years of ‘Miles & Music for Kids,’ to take a break,” he wrote.
Bentley continued to say how proud he was about the $4 million the event has helped raise over the years. He also writes that he couldn’t have done it “without [the fans], all my artist friends, the bikers and the Nashville community that I’m so lucky to call home.”
He wants his fans to know that he will continue to do charitable work, he just has to figure out what it will be.
“I’m thinking and dreaming about what we might do next and how we can all keep making a difference together,” he writes.
