In 1968, Waylon Jennings scored one of the biggest hits of his career with the song “Only Daddy That’ll Walk the Line.” The song reached the second position on the country chart in the U.S. and claimed the top spot on the Canadian country chart.

As one of Jennings’ most popular songs, “Only Daddy That’ll Walk the Line” has been covered numerous times. Linda Ronstadt‘s gender-reversed cover was one of the most notable. Due to its success, Ronstadt included her rendition of the song in her setlist for years.

We came across another cover that is sure to become a hit as well.

While cooking dinner one night, Tristen Smith and Madison Bolin thought it was the perfect time to jam out to a little bit of Jennings’ music. They first shared their spontaneous singing session on Facebook.

With guitar in hand, Smith hopped up on the counter next to the stove, where Bolin was busy cooking dinner. Bolin seemed disgusted with him at first as he burst out into song, but surprised us all when she joined in with him in perfect harmony.

You won’t have to get far through the video to realize how talented this young couple is. We think Jennings would be awfully proud of their little dinnertime performance of his song!

Together, Smith and Bolin form the country duo Lazy Jane. They released their first single, “Bourbon in the Bible,” in November 2016, and regularly record covers of country classics. If you’d like to see all of the awesome content they have to offer, be sure to check out their Facebook page here.

Mark our word, this won’t be the last time you hear of these two!
